Are you an active duty service member?

Whether you are an E1 or a 1 Star, Dr. Rozycki has experience working with military personnel of all ranks and branches. She has worked on three different installations. So whether you are enlisted or an officer, she has an insider understanding of your world; from disciplinary actions to promotion ceremonies, she has been alongside members just like you. She has worked with reservists and those in the Guard on active orders. She has counselled members on a range of concerns from unexpected orders, stress from challenging work schedules, traumatic memories and continued jumpiness, anger outbursts, long-distance relationship stress, toxic leadership, and difficulties transitioning into new ranks or out of the service. If you’re looking for support, reach out today.

Dr. Rozycki has extensive experience working on military installations and for the VA for over 10 years. She completed her doctoral residency with the New Jersey VA Healthcare system. She has worked at the Goodfellow AFB Mental Health Clinic in both contracting and GS roles. She spent two years working with those members struggling with addictions at the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program at NAS Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. She worked as a psychologist imbedded within primary care working alongside PCMs at Peterson-Schriever Garrison in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also while in Colorado Springs, CO, she worked as a VA contractor conducting Compensation and Pension evaluations for veterans, retirees, and active duty members from Peterson-Schriever Garrison, Fort Carson, and the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). So whether you call her “Doc” or “the Wizard,” she’ll speak speak acronym right along with you!

are you a military VETERAN

or military retiree?

If your answer is yes, you have my deepest respect. Maybe you too come from a family with multiple military veterans—ours includes Army, Navy, and Air Force. Our family has veterans who served at Monte Cassino during World War II, in the Navy during Vietnam, and the Iraqi Wars of the 1990s and the 2000s. My grandfather and grandmother were World War II Army Veterans fighting for the Allied Forces after being released from prisoner of war gulags in Siberia. Maybe you’re like my grandfather and silently suffering, keeping your trauma to yourself and using beer as a sleep aid. Maybe you’re like my grandmother and open to telling stories of wartime experiences but still very much affected by what you experienced, with it changing the fabric of who you are. Whether I knew it or not, listening to war stories as my bedtime stories may have prepared me for my future career as a military psychologist and now an Army wife.

As a military psychologist, I have worked with Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Space Force, and Coast Guard members. I have worked with all branches of service on two bases, one naval air station, and for the VA over a 10 year period. As much as I have some fluency in speaking military acronym, I realize this is not the same as putting on the uniform. Still, I believe you deserve to talk to someone who understands and respects your experience as much as a non-military member can.

counseling for military spouses

Dr. Rozycki is an Army wife and understands the role of a military spouse first hand. Pride for your member’s service is mixed with the challenges of moves, TDYs, deployments, and long work hours. Moving across continents are all a part of that unique experience that you can’t truly understand unless you’ve lived it. Managing a household while your spouse is away for months at a time requires a special pivoting that spouses can only understand; and don’t forget, we do this sometimes thousands of miles away from family or friends. Connecting with other spouses can definitely be a source of support but then it’s heartbreaking to say goodbye to your friends who PCS before you do. And then to start again with new friends can sometimes feel exhausting. Making friends and losing them within months takes a certain getting used to. This role is a mix of exciting and anxiety provoking all in one. Sometimes having your own private time to focus on your needs helps you cope with all the changes.

AROSE eTherapy offers convenient service that may continue uninterrupted despite Dr. Rozycki’s relocation and yours. Skip the long wait on the appointment line and reach out today!
