online therapy for women in colorado can help restore balance

In developing AROSE eTherapy, Dr. Rozycki wanted to shift focus to specifically offering online therapy catered towards high achieving professional women. In working in both the civilian sector and military settings, it became obvious that the concerns of women  were unique. Many women would come to therapy stressed out from the burden of juggling multiple roles such as being a busy mom, highly achieving career woman, spouse, or all three. In addition to managing multiple roles, women were often the ones managing households, taking kids to doctor’s appointments in between taking aging parents to doctor’s appointments, and having little time or energy left for themselves.

Although there are some good partners out there, many women were settling for relationships where their partner was not pulling their weight. Oftentimes women, being caregivers, want to care for others and be a part of a collective, but this can also make it hard for women to say “no,” limit their activity, and carve out non-negotiable self-care time.

understanding the unique needs of women

The life experiences of women are unique from men beginning in the womb from our chromosomes and hormones to how we’re socialized beginning in childhood. Just watch for the obvious differences between the play activity of boys and girls. Sometimes having support from a provider who can identify with your world experiences from harassment to hormones can be a comfort. If you’re needing support at this time, why not lean on someone who understands you!

If you’re an active duty member, retiree, or military spouse, this practice is also for you. Dr. Alicia Rozycki has extensive experience working with military, government employees, and spouses. Having 10 years experience working as a psychologist on 3 military installations and for the VA, Dr. Rozycki has worked with all branches of services. She is also an active duty military spouse. The unique challenges of military life are respected and understood as much as a civilian can understand.

women & military

Active duty military women and female government employees are often in difficult positions in a male dominated career field. For spouses, they know all too well the stress of managing it all while their spouse is TDY, deployed, or working long hours. Although not a single parent, many times it can feel that way. These unique roles call for unique support.
